Andrew Melendrez, a New Mexico native, was raised in Alamogordo where he developed a strong foundation in team sports such as soccer, baseball, basketball, and track. He graduated from Alamogordo High School with honors and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in Golden. At CSM, he honed his leadership skills through participation in club rugby and the Beta Phi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi where he held several key positions. He also gained practical experience in the field of engineering through his work as an intern with Coors Brewing Company, where he was sponsored by the non-profit organization “InRoads.”

After graduating, Andrew discovered his love for the medical field through a job at Maimonides Sleep Arts & Sciences. This sparked an entrepreneurial spirit in him, and in 2005 he co-founded Quality Sleep Solutions, a sleep medicine consulting and healthcare clinic. The company expanded rapidly over the next 14 years through M&A to 23 locations across 4 states and was eventually sold to a physician acquirer in 2019.

Andrew continued to pursue his passion for M&A and became a certified M&A professional in 2021. Today, he serves as a Director for NOW Capital Partners, bringing a wealth of operational experience and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry to the team.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys staying active through fitness and outdoor activities, like CrossFit, hunting, mountain biking, and snowboarding. He also spends time working in his garage and volunteering at the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce. Andrew is married and enjoys networking and giving back to his community.
